Hypothalamic Level:
Secretion of GnRH.
Pituitary Level:
In response to GnRH:
FSH secretion during the follicular phase (Day 1 to Day 14).
LH secretion in response to GnRH before ovulation (Day 14).
Plasma Level:
FSH levels are maximal from Day 1 to Day 14.
LH levels peak on Day 14.
Progesterone levels are maximal just before Day 14.
Estrogen levels are maximal after Day 14.
Ovarian Level:
Follicle growth from Day 1 to Day 14: Estrogen production.
Ovulation occurs on Day 14.
Regression of the corpus luteum after Day 14: Progesterone production.
Uterine Level:
Endometrial thickness gradually increases from Day 1 to Day 14 under the influence of estrogen.
Maximum thickness during the post-ovulatory period from Day 14 to Day 28 under the influence of both estrogen and progesterone.
Menstrual bleeding begins on Day 28 due to a decrease in progesterone levels.
