Duties

Attendance

  • Attendance of lectures is very important.

  • Attendance of tutorials and practicals is compulsory.

    • Three unjustified absences lead to exclusion from the course.

    • Five justified or unjustified absences also lead to exclusion from the course.

    • Justification of absence must be taken to the department administration to stamp it – within three days.

    • Stamped justification must be shown to the tutorial/practical instructor during the following session.

Attendance vs Marks

Student Absence vs Final Marks: Absence Leads to Failure

Moodle

  • You are expected to have a functioning Moodle account to access course material and take online tests.

    • You should fix any problems you have with your Moodle account right away. Tolerance in this matter is zero.

  • Work is individual unless stated otherwise.

    • Identical solutions are given a nice round zero like this one: 0.

Doing Well

  • Try to get as much as possible from the lectures.

  • Keep up with the lectures and tutorial/practical sessions. Falling behind is your worst enemy.
