Business Letter

A business letter is a formal document often sent from one company to another or from a company to its clients and employees. Business letters are used for professional correspondence between individuals, as well. The objective of the business letter should have a straightforward language. If you intend to convince the recipient to hire you, invest money, partner with you, or fix a problem, then create a persuasive cause for your case. Well-written letters can positively impact the reader’s mind, whereas poorly drafted ones can erode the chance of gaining a particular position, rank, etc. (Sura, 2006)[1].

Example: if, for example, you want the reader to sponsor a charity event, identify any overlap with their company’s philanthropic goals. Persuade the reader (the recipient or the manager) that helping you would be mutually beneficial, and you will increase your chances of winning their support[2].
