1 Objective

This assignment is designed to test your ability to use internet search engines to research a topic, validate the information you gather, and use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to present your findings effectively.

2 Assignment Details

2.1 Topic

How has technology influenced one aspect of daily life (e.g., communication, education, work, or health)?

  • Choose one specific aspect of daily life (e.g., how technology has improved work-from-home practices, revolutionized communication, or impacted physical health tracking).

  • Conduct research using reliable internet sources to gather data and insights.

2.2 Deliverables

You are required to submit the following:

  1. Word Report:

    • Include a title page with the assignment title, your name, course, and date.

    • Write an introduction describing the aspect of daily life you chose and why it is significant.

    • Present your findings in a structured manner with paragraphs, subheadings, and bullet points.

    • Include at least one chart created in Excel that represents the data you gathered. Embed the chart in your report.

    • Summarize your findings and provide insights in the conclusion.

    • List all sources used in a references section.

  2. PowerPoint Presentation:

    • Title slide with your name, topic, and course details.

    • Introduction slide explaining your topic.

    • Slides presenting key findings with bullet points or visuals.

    • Include the same chart created in Excel and explain its significance.

    • A conclusion slide summarizing your findings.

  3. Excel Sheet:

    • Create a spreadsheet to capture your data.

    • Include headers for your data and ensure it is organized for clarity.

    • Use Excel’s chart tools to create a meaningful chart (e.g., bar chart, pie chart, or line graph) based on the data.

3 Submission Guidelines

  • Submit all three files (Word report, PowerPoint presentation, and Excel sheet) in a zip file by the due date.

  • Name your files:

    • StudentNumber_StudentName_BW_Homework02.docx for the report.

    • StudentNumber_StudentName_BW_Homework02.pptx for the presentation.

    • StudentNumber_StudentName_BW_Homework02.xlsx for the spreadsheet.

    and put them in a zip file called:

    • StudentNumber_StudentName_BW_Homework02.zip

    For example, if your student number is 242438187709 and your name is Mohammed Ali, your archive name should be 242438187709_MohammedAli_BW_Homework02.zip, and should contain the files:

    • 242438187709_MohammedAli_BW_Homework02.docx

    • 242438187709_MohammedAli_BW_Homework02.pptx

    • 242438187709_MohammedAli_BW_Homework02.xlsx
